“ So I'm not going to be like a few other reviewers and knock random stars off for minor inconveniences that don't have to do with the restaurant. Note, the food I describe below may be outdated due to the rotating menu. The food itself is superb. The guac with caviar and fried cheese came out and was a perfect appetiser. I personally don't think fois gras isn't a preferred food for me, but the flavor meshed well with the burger I got. The duck leg we got was also cooked to perfection. The service was great as well. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about every item on the menu, their best pairings, and were able to help us come up with a good 3 course meal with drinks - apps, main, dessert. Food, service, and atmosphere were top notch. So if you're debating whether to come here or not and are put off by the sub 4.5 ratings, look at the 4 star ratings from the obviously hard to please people, their reviews generally say the food is really good. ”

“ One word for this place....Amazing! Reservation highly suggested, however, they have a cute bar where you can wait while your being seated or just want to quickly experience the ambiance of this cute French restaurant. Opened only 2 months ago, the service is impeccable thanks to our server that night called Amber (ask for her!). Although they apparently have an amazing brunch as well, my friends and I went for dinner and it was such a romantic and chic ambiance. We first ordered some wine and drinks and as an appetizer started with the meat tartare with a poached egg, it was the best we all have ever tasted. After, we were brought our entrees which included a duck breast, soft, amazing sauce, good portion; second was duck leg, crispy, perfectly good and hand cut fettuccine, so good as well!! However, we didn't stop there we ordered two desserts which included the pavlova with passion fruit and another one that although I'll never forget I can't remember the name, but see a picture below. ”

“ My group had a fantastic experience! Brittney our server was outstanding. She provided many good recommendations and was just a delight to talk to. The service in general was very good. There was never an issue if we needed something since someone passed by often to refill water and be within reach for requests. The food was very very good! Brittney recommended the whipped ricotta with honey (get it!). I felt odd about ordering a burger at a nice place, but you absolutely need to get the burger here. I shared it with my table and we agreed it was worth coming back for the burger alone. My friends also had the duck confit and steak and were very happy with their choices. The cocktails are also very good! My friend and I are split on whether banana Jameson should exist, but it’s definitely worth a try for the novelty. I can’t remember the names of the other two cocktails but they were delightful and I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. All around great atmosphere, fantastic service, and outstanding food. We are recommending this place to everyone we know and will absolutely be coming back here. I also want to give many thanks to Ronnie, who called after I had issues this week trying to get in touch about my reservation (I recommend emailing the restaurant if you don’t get someone on the phone). Ronnie was very kind in how she handled this with our group, and we really appreciate how accommodating she and DDG were once we could get a hold of them. Thank you again to DDG for providing such a lovely experience. ”

“ Wonderful graduation dinner at Duck Duck Goose in Dupont Circle! My group of three went to DDG for dinner on a Thursday night. We made a reservation and were seated promptly when our whole party arrived! The outdoor patio was so cute and fun, we were happy to sit outside! When it got later in the evening and cold outside we were allowed to finish out desert at the bar which was so nice of the staff. We started with delicious and beautiful drinks recommended our server who was great. The food was delicious, especially the camembert appetizer and the duck fried rice. The short rib was also great and the chocolate tart was a hit for desert! The service was a little slow but it seemed like they were short staffed. We will be returning in the future as the weather gets warmer! Highly recommend for delicious French dishes in the DC area! ”

“ We came around 6 pm when there is still sunlight around. I love the seat and the view of the outside, although I hope the table was just a tat bigger. The server was really friendly and he took time explaining the menu to us. The only complaint was that we notice it was taking longer than expected for the food to arrive. For drinks we ordered: Limonade Aux Herbes (zero proof cocktail) & the Saget La Perriere Sauvignon Blanc. The mocktail is exceptional. It was very well balanced, not overly sugary, and you can taste all the layers of spices and herbs like you’d expect for a real cocktail. As starter: we went with the Broccolini Agnolotti since there are just so many great reviews on it. It did not disappoint! The broccoli fillings are so creamy and smooth it melts in your mouth. The lemon curd jumps out to me the most - it’s very tarty and it really balances out the creamy taste of the whole palette. If you like a small sweet/ savory type of starter to jump start your meal, this is the perfect choice. As main: we ordered the DDG burger and the duck breast. It’s almost too hard to pick which is better, because they are both so delicious! I love the savory layers of the burger when the fat of the foie gras blends with the smoky meat and the blueberry jam. You get the perfect combinations in your mouth all at once. The duck breast is amazing as well. Medium rare as recommended is perfect. The meat is juicy, tender, and the skin is flavorful and crispy. ”

“ This was such a great restaurant experience. The restaurant is just about the perfect size, there was good spacing between the tables. The music was lively and upbeat, but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. All of the dishes we tried were absolutely delicious. Appetizers were steak tartar, escargot, and the spring pea angliotti. Steak tartare and escargot were clear favorites. The angliotti was delicious as well, but there is a very strong pea flavor, if you're not a fan you're not going to like it. The duck was cooked really well and the sauce paired with it was delicious. The lamb wellington was also a great take on the traditional beef wellington, tender and very flavorful. The DDG burger is one of the best burgers I've ever had, and the duck fat fries just put the dish over the top. Loved the pavlova and eclair desserts, not quite as well about the panna cotta. Drinks were good, the Loosey Goosey was my favorite. ”

“ Went to Duck Duck Goose last weekend and had an amazing dinner. Pricy, but definitely worth the splurge. They made absolutely delicious cocktails, Bruce was the best bartender. Everyone was very attentive and took such great care of us. We ordered the steak tartare to start and I ordered the steak frites. The steak was cooked beautifully, they actually cooked it to the proper rareness level which is definitely not the case for all restaurants! The frites were crispy and delicious in the sauce. ”

“ This was quite a dinner. The staff were kind and made space for us after a reservation for another restaurant was messed up. The cocktails were unique and delicious. The menu was small but each thing was amazing. They really play with textures here but every dish we got was amazing. The decor was inviting and cozy. A must eat. ”
